In an on-going effort to educate the community that not all real estate agents are the same, here is further evidence of a correlation between sophisticated marketing and a higher sales price for homes. Top agents are consistently studying the psychology behind what makes a home sell for top value -- and that is what clients should expect from us!

They say the devil is in the details; well marketing text is no different. According to a Zillow analysis of 24,000 homes, there are certain marketing "buzz" words that lead to homes selling at a premium.

Bottom Price Tier

  • Impeccable
  • Upgraded

By The Numbers

The Zillow analsis found that top price tier homes that used the word "captivating" in their marketing text sold for 6.5% higher than expected, on average. Bottom price tier homes that used the word "luxurious" averaged a 8.2% higher price than expected. Conversely, the survey found that words such as "fixer" and "TLC" prompted a much lower sales price.
